Exclusive fabrics from Caro B Handmade
OEKO-TEX and GOTS
All my products are made of high-quality materials. I only use fabric that meets the Oeko-Tex standard 100 , a label that stands for quality and safety. Only with this can I guarantee that the fabrics are free of toxic substances, are air-permeable and safe for people and the environment.
Cotton or Poplin fabric
These fabrics consist of 100% cotton - The fabric does not stretch, which makes the fabric fall and feel more flexible.
Tricot fabric
These fabrics are 95% cotton and 5% elastane, Jersey / Tricot (sometimes even 98% cotton and 2% elastane). Tricot is stretchy, unlike 'normal cotton'. This jersey is sturdy, so it is not loose and feels very soft.
Minky fabric
This type of fleece fabric is super comfortable and wonderfully soft. Minky is a super soft fabric that feels like plush velour, it is softer than fleece with a kind of short fur texture. Made from 100% polyester.
This fabric should not be ironed.
Waffle fabric
This fabric is a fine fabric with a beautifully woven waffle structure. Made from 100% cotton. This fabric becomes fuller after being washed once.
Hydrophilic fabric or tetra fabric
This fabric is made of pure cotton and is known for its good moisture absorption, its other name is tetra fabric. It is not without reason that hydrophilic fabrics have been used for babies for decades. It is also a very soft material and therefore feels really nice.
Terry cloth in 100% bamboo
The terry cloth is 100% cotton in Bamboo and of a wonderfully thick and super quality.
Sewing thread
Sewing machine
I use Gutterman brand sewing thread for my sewing machine.
These are 100% polyester. It also has a high tensile strength.
Cover and Overlock
I use Amann Serafil for the cover and overlock thread. This sewing thread is very durable due to fine polyester thread. It also has a high tensile strength. The seam looks shiny and silky.
Professional Embroidery Machine
For my embroidery machine I use all products from Madeira, Isacord or Gunold. I choose these brands because of their high quality when embroidering drawings or fonts. All my sewing threads are 100% polyester. It has a high tensile strength.
Filling
For the filling baby blankets or baby blankets I use cotton wool filling, which is 300g with a thickness of about 3 cm.
For the playpen mat or the milestone mats I use 400g cotton wool filling. This filling has a thickness of 4cm, so your baby or toddler lies very softly on the floor.
Flex foil - Vinyl from Siser
I use high-quality materials for all prints on the t-shirts of the Peter Box or the Meter Box. For the Flex I use the Siser brand.
I also use Siser for the vinyl, including printing birth boxes and milestone cards with names.
